How to configure email account in Windows Live Mail




  1. Open Windows Live Mail App.
  2. Click on Add Email Account.
  3. Add an Email Account Form will appear. Pleae enter following details.

    1. Your Email Address (complete email address, example john@cphosting.com)
    2. Password for your email account
    3. Display Name: John Smith
    4. Make sure to check "Manually configure server settings for e-mail account.
    5. click on Next.
  4. Add an E-mail Account form will appear. Pleae enter following details.

    Windows Live Mail Setup

    1. Incoming Mail server (IMAP or POP3).
    2. Incoming Mail Server - mail.your-domain.com
    3. For Secure Server address, please refer to your activation email or contact support. (Recommended)
    4. For secure access click on "This server requires a secure connection (SSL) (Recommended)
    5. Login ID - Your complete email address, example john@cphosting.com
    6. Outgoing Server : mail.your-domain.com
    7. For Secure Outgoing server address, please refer to your activation email or contact support (Recommended)
    8. For secure access click on "This server requires a secure connection (SSL) (Recommended)
    9. Check on My Outgoing Server requires authentication box.
    10. Click Next. Finally Click Finish
      1. Please use following Port Addresses:
      2. For Unsecure / Normal Access
        1. IMAP PORT 143
        2. POP3 PORT 110 
        3. SMTP PORT 25 or 26
      3. For Secure SSL Access:
        1. IMAP PORT 993
        2. POP3 PORT 995
        3. SMTP PORT 465
